First and foremost, I want to thank you for stopping by Catch My Thrift.  As a 25 year old “professional”, I have been so desperately seeking a creative outlet a little more serious than just avidly instragramming.  I have been considering starting a blog for quite some time now, but was constantly making excuses for why the timing wasn’t right or why it wouldn’t be good for me.  After a lot of back and forth, and a few of those realization moments, I could kick myself for not starting this sooner.

Although I don’t think my life is all that exciting, I think I have a lot to bring to the table as a blogger.  My life consists of juggling work, family, fitness and fun with not nearly enough fun in there (some might debate this).  As a 25 year old, it has been a real challenge for me to stop wasting money on so many trendy going out outfits, and to choose more work appropriate clothes that I am proud to wear, and would gladly wear out for drinks after work.  I still haven’t figured out the correct ratio of weekend wear to work wear but I am certainly getting closer.  What I have become an expert at is bargain hunting.  I have learned the value of the dollar, and how far $200 should actually get you.  I’ve learned what’s okay to splurge on occasionally and what you should get as cheap as you can because you will never wear it more than once.  Some of my favorite clothing items right now were purchased (NEW) on eBay and I am very proud of that.  Rent The Runway is a gift from God, and I have no problem scouring the internet for promo codes before I make a purchase.

I am no fashion expert but I take pride in my appearance and have my own unique sense of style.  I am a firm believer in dressing for the job you want rather than the one you have.  I meet a lot of people through work and I always want to look my best just in case.  The weekends for me is my time to experiment more with new trends and styles.  I like to stay ahead of the trend and it actually kills me a little inside if I’m wearing the same thing as someone else in public unless it’s Kate Bosworth or Hailey Baldwin.  As ridiculous as this sounds…. this is how I feel.

I made Catch My Thrift because I genuinely love fashion, photography, and sharing any and everything that makes me feel inspired.  Nothing makes me happier than finding a good deal on something or discovering a new reasonable brand that I can share with my friends and family.  I want to put all of the time I spend researching and scouring the internet to good use by sharing my finds with all of you.

I am a creative goofball and I make myself laugh harder than anyone else can. I understand the importance of being able to laugh at yourself and I always find humor in the worst of situations. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I am happiest when I'm surrounded by people who make me I can be my true self around. Luckily, I have quite a few of those people in my life and they gave me the nudge I needed to finally start Catch My Thrift.   This blog will be my creative outlet and is fueled by my true passions in life.  I am very excited about the opportunity to share them with anyone who wants to follow along and I hope you enjoy it.

Kindest Regards,

Corinne Perry
