With Easter only a few days away, it’s time to start thinking about what to wear (unless of course you don’t celebrate Easter in which case it’s always fun to think about some good spring weekend outfits).  My outfit above is probably the simplest outfit combination you could find.  I got it from my favorite boutique Morley in Darien, they also have locations in Bethesda and Delray Beach.  I'm all about shopping local these days, and Morley has the absolute best selection.  Their prices range from about $40 to $400 but I have never gone in there and not been able to find something super cute for an affordable price.  The girls that work there are awesome and they're always super helpful and provide honest feedback which I really appreciate.
Florals are typically my go-to for spring but I wanted to go with something out of myyy ordinary this year.  I opted for a light pink slip dress with a light pink button down layered over it.  I tied it in front to make it more flattering and to give the outfit a more polished look.
If you don’t own a slip dress yet you should definitely consider adding one to your wardrobe.  The slip dress is an extremely versatile piece that can be dressed up or down depending on how you style it.  You can opt for a daytime brunch look like mine above, or go one step further with the casualness by swapping out the mules for a pair of white sneakers.  If you want more of a night-out look then you could pair it with some wedges and swap the button down for a cropped moto jacket.  The styling possibilities with this dress are endless!
I paired the look with these dark grey mules and it gave a nice bold pop to an otherwise monochrome look.  By the way, these are by far THEE most comfortable mules I have ever tried on and you can get them for 30% off right now from Lord & Taylor if you use promo code: FRIENDS at checkout.  The cushioning on the bottom is so soft and they don’t dig into your toes at all in the front which tends to be a problem with most slides.  They also look so cute with jeans, skirts, and just about any bottom you could think of!
