SKORTS –the business in front party in the back alternative to the skirt, or in other words: a skirt you can ride a bike in.

I love skorts because I'm definitely a tomboy at heart and I find comfort in knowing that I have a pair of shorts on underneath. I love that it has the appearance of a skirt from the front and only from behind would you be able to tell that they're actually shorts. It eliminates all the stresses of wearing a mini skirt all day long. You're not constantly worried about it riding up because it literally can't, you don't have to worry about a sudden gust of wind, and if you're running late and need to run, you have shorts on so it's cool!
This skort will be a staple for me throughout the holiday season. I got it at H&M last month and have already worn it on several occasions. Although you may think that shorts in the winter is a no-no, if you pair them with some black opaque tights underneath (or any tights for that matter), it is completely acceptable and fashion forward nowadays.
I paired this skort with a plain white turtle-neck and a plaid wool shell layered over it. I love mixing different greys so I was very pleased with the way this looked when topped off with the faux shearling black/grey jacket. I wore this outfit to work so I decided on these black ankle boots because they are super comfy and not too high. I would totally rock this outfit on the weekend though and instead of the ankle boot I would do my black over the knee boots. That would be the perfect holiday party outfit in my opinion.

This time of year can be stressful for so many reasons but your outfits shouldn't be one of them. Invest in versatile staples that you can wear over and over again with simple accessory changes and shoe swaps. You never regret those purchases and it saves a lot of room in the suitcase..... trust me on this one.
As always, thank you for reading along today.  I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!
