$50 Friday Ft. The Jumper Dress

October 07, 2016

The 3 day weekend ahead has me smiling ear to ear and I imagine I will be heading out of work later lookin' something like this:
Au revoir my fellow colleagues
And what could possibly be better than some thrifty outfit inspiration to get you ready for the weekend!!!???
You probably don't remember or didn't read it but I posted an outfit a few weeks ago and it was a 525 America plaid jumper dress over a yellow turtle neck and some shiny menswear loafers.  I was particularly drawn to the jumper but I was certainly not going to spend $150 on a plaid dress.  It was too memorable and because of the colors you wouldn't be able to mix and match it with that many different pieces.  I did love it though so I was determined to find something similar but for a better price.  I knew a dress like that would make a great layering piece for the Fall and even into the Winter if I paired it with some thicker tights underneath.

I was thrilled when I came across this black jumper in H&M the other day.  It was one of those pieces that I just knew I was going to love before even trying it on.  I brought it into the dressing room with a bunch of tops to get an idea of what would look good underneath it and so that I would know whether or not I had something at home that could work.  I really thought I was going to love it paired with a big bow blouse but it just wasn’t a good look for me.  I decided to go the classic route with an off-white long sleeve turtleneck and a long gold pendant necklace.  I’m a sucker for a good black and white outfit.  This turtleneck is amazing and I will definitely be purchasing it in some of the other colors.  It’s a great layering piece for this time of year and this one in particular is super comfortable.  The material is so soft, thick (but not too thick) and it’s slimming.    The only way it could be more perfect is if it were a bodysuit.
I was really excited about sharing this look today because I genuinely love this outfit.  Also I’m really proud that I found a complete look for such a reasonable price.  This jumper will be a STAPLE in my Fall and Winter wardrobe.  It is a classic piece and it’s SO versatile.  The styling possibilities with this thing are endless.  You could go a more casual route and pair it with a t-shirt and sneakers for the perfect weekend daytime attire or you could try it with a lace long sleeve shirt, some skivvies and a pair of over-the-knee boots for a fab Saturday night look.  I could go on forever but I think you get the idea.

I've linked some other outfit possibilities with this jumper below.  I kept them all under $50 since that's the theme for Friday.  Enjoy!!

As always, thank you for reading along today.  I hope you all have a fabulous holiday weekend!!
