Weekend Wear: High Waisted Flares & Cold Shoulers

May 09, 2016

I hope everyone had an awesome weekend and an even better Mother's Day!  It looks like the weather is going to be much nicer this week and we may even get that taste of Summer we are all longing for.

This is my ideal Saturday night outfit.  I love wearing something that is comfortable but also makes a statement.  These jeans were worth the splurge for me (although I was able to snag them for 40% off).  I fell in love with these the moment I saw them on the 7 website.  It wasn't until I tried them on that I knew I had to have them.  They are so unbelievably comfortable and the material is so soft and not too heavy like you might think.  They sit just under my belly button and the flare is extremely flattering and makes my legs look long and thin.  They are my go-to weekend jeans right now and I wear them with a chunky wedge or platform to emphasize and give a smooth line look to the wide-leg.

This cold shoulder button down top is an absolute must-have for Spring and Summer.  It is the perfect flirty accent for this outfit.  It has the off-shoulder look but still has the thin strap that keeps it from falling down.  It's effortless but oh-so chic making it the perfect combination of cute/sexy.  This is a top I will be wearing all throughout the Summer.  Zara has a great selection of cold shoulder dresses and tops right now that are certainly worth checking out especially since their prices are so reasonable.

I topped this look off with a thick choker necklace from Child of Wild and the white studded cross body bag.  These two accessories add the perfect amount of edginess to this feminine look. Follow
