Day to Night Look: 1 Silk Scarf, 2 Different Ways

April 21, 2016

The silk scarf is here to stay........

As a working girl, I am always looking for clothing that's office-friendly but can easily transition to a fun, going-out-with-the-gals look. This isn't easy for me because I usually like to dress a little more on the edgy side and show my true style when I'm going out. I find it much easier in the summertime, when I can wear a cute dress with nice flats or sandals and then after work simply throw on a pair of wedges and I'm good to go.

Neck scarves are everywhere lately, and it is a look that I have been dying to try out. It's such a versatile piece, you can't go wrong investing in a few of these. It's super easy to carry around and I have seen them used in so many different ways. You'd be amazed at what one silk scarf is capable of!

My outfit pictured above was cute -- just cute -- but once I added the silk scarf, the whole look came together and is still totally work appropriate. The chambray blazer keeps it business casual, while the white flares and top underneath look very clean and professional. The skinny animal print belt breaks up the white nicely, and the silk scarf around my neck is just the right amount of trendiness for work-wear.

Switching the scarf from my neck to head makes this outfit SO much more fun for the night-time. It takes the look from flight attendant to 70's girl and I'm definitely into it. In addition to the neck and head scarf look, I have seen the silk scarf used as a belt and also tied on handbag handles for some extra flair. I have a feeling the silk scarf will be a staple in my summer wardrobe this year. Follow
